  • This dataset contains the processed Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) data collected on Franklin voyage FR 03/90. The voyage took place in the Coral and Tasman Seas during 20 March - 7 April 1990. This dataset has been merged with FR 2/1990 ADCP data and has been processed and is archived as FR 02/90 ADCP within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report (as available).

  • This record describes the Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) data collected from the Marine National Facility RV Investigator voyage IN2014_E03. This is the first trial voyage for the RV Investigator departing Hobart on the 11th November and returning to Hobart on the 17th November 2014. PLEASE NOTE - ADCP data was not collected on this trial voyage.

    3D plume mapping was conducted over a 10day period at Chevron's Wheatstone dredging operation near Onslow Western Australia. Dredge plums created by a cutter suction dredge were sampled from CSIRO vessel RV Linnaeus on voyage number LI2013_v25. Underway measurements were made using a ship mounted ADCP to measure vertical velocity profiles and backscatter intensity and DALEC that measured the spectral qualities of incoming and reflected sea surface light. Profile data were collected using LISST (particle size distributions), CTD (backscatter, temperature and salinity), Hydroscat, Hydrorad (used measure light profiles, extinction coefficients , and scattering properties). Surface and bottom water samples were be collected at selected sites and analyzed for particle size distributions

  • This dataset contains the Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) data collected on Southern Surveyor voyage SS2009_V03. The voyage took place in the Western Pacific ocean between 3rd and 26th July 2009. This dataset has NOT been processed as no valid data collected - one beam on ADCP unit faulty.

This dataset could not be processed due to a to a combination of poor settings and interference due to the operation of TOPAS..

The voyage took place from Hobart to Hobart in the Great Australian Bight between the 3rd and 22nd of April, 2013. This dataset was not processed as the moon pool trolley was faulty and no ADCP data could be gathered.

This dataset was processed and then archived within the CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere (O&A) Information and Data Centre (IDC) in Hobart.
